Naked burger with winter slaw and cheesy toastie

Ingredients:

2 beef burgers

1 carrot

1 onion

1/2 red cabbage

4 slices of a low-carb bread

3 tbsp mayonnaise

100g Cheddar cheese

ground black pepper

pink Himalayan sea salt

garlic olive oil

Serves 2

Preheat the oven grill to 220 °C. In a mixing bowl, stir the mayonnaise through finely sliced cabbage, carrot, and onion. Season with the sea salt and ground black pepper. Grill the burgers for 3 minutes per side. 

Place sliced cheese in-between two slices of bread and place it into a sandwich press. Drizzle some olive oil over the top of the toastie and toast it until crispy. 

Serve the burgers with the winter slaw and the cheesy toastie.
